Currently there are six apprentices working alongside Dhargyal, who have been trained in the best schools in Tibet and India.
Working
in the Menris Tradition, one thangka can take between one to three
months to create. Canvases take days to prepare, and the finest mineral
colors are hand mixed in the traditional fashion to guarantee the long
life of each piece.
The studio is commissioned by monasteries and private patrons alike.
Short-term classes are available to visitors, who wish to better understand the process and styles of Traditional Tibetan art.
